GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The University requirements for graduation are designed to provide a broad liberal arts education. They consist of the following:
- earn a minimum of 120 semester credit hours with an overall 2.0 GPA.
- at least a "C" average (2.0 GPA) for all USF courses (2.5 for education majors).
- complete a minimum of 48 semester hours of upper division work.
- may need to complete Special College of The Arts requirement (depending on the discipline).
- complete General Knowledge and Exit courses.
- complete Summer Enrollment requirement.
- complete residency requirement (30 of the last 60 hours of undergraduate credit in USF courses).
- complete program requirements as determined by the college.
GRADUATION APPLICATION
- Review SASS degree audit reports with advisor before each semester to ensure good progress toward degree.
- The student must meet with his or her advisor to confirm eligibility to graduate and to complete the application.
- Obtain and submit application forms in the CoTA Advising Office.
- Apply in the final semester and observe the application deadline.
GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Each Spring, the College of The Arts puts on a Graduation Celebration for the past years graduates. It is a very personal informal event that everyone has grown very fond of. Each discipline is showcased during the event. It is a time for students to thank professors and say their goodbyes.
